I'm Ellie, a Fashion Graphics graduate with a keen eye for design. I studied at Southampton Solent University, and was awarded a First Class Honours Degree. Studying Fashion Graphics has opened up so many opportunities for me; I have gained skills that are transferable across the fashion industry. I have excellent skills using the Adobe Suite, and I specialise in layout, print design, and photography. I am inspired by anything that injects some colour into life and I can be found on Instagram, where I enjoy expressing my creativity.
Since graduating I have completed a three month Graphic Design internship with luxury shoe brand, Sophia Webster. This mainly focused on photography and social media output, as well as the retouching of imagery. I have also completed a four week internship with Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, where I assisted the Art Department. Staying with Hearst Publications, I have also spent four weeks with Women’s Health Magazine, which involved me dealing with call-ins and returns. I was also responsible for the upkeep of the fashion samples. Both internships have given me a fantastic insight into the running of a fashion publication.
For my university Final Major Project I chose to focus on magazine layout, collaborating with the brand Motel, to create a look book along with print designs, and an SS15 video look book. During my time at university, I also took part in a live brief with Ted Baker, where I was a runner up. This involved producing a range of prints along with branding concepts.
I am currently on a year long internship with luxury design house Sophie Hulme, where I am assisting the Art Department. I also freelance for The London College of Style, and work on my own magazine project, OUTLOOK in my spare time. I am always in search of new projects; so please don't hesitate to get in touch!
